Genesis 4:19-22

A man named Lamech had 3 Sons.

Jabal: Father of those who dwells in tents

Jubal: Father of musical instruments like lyre and pipe

Tubal-Cain: Father of metal tools made of bronze and iron

His sons are the first to bring these into the world. A family blessed with scientists and inventors.

The family has got everything now. One son might have made good tents for his family for them to sleep well. One of them would have played pleasant music in the evening while everyone sang together. The younger one might have made tools and furniture to ease their daily work.

A mini-technological revolution!!!

But wait!
Read the next 2 verses. Their father enjoying the comfort of life like no one else before him has killed a man out of his anger. Now he is worried about the consequences. He remembers the punishment given to Cain who killed his brother Abel some generations ago.

His sons brought a technical revolution but couldn't bring a change in the sinful desires of his heart. They can't take away his guilt.

Now the Good news!

There is a son named Jesus, born of the Holy Spirit. He is the wisest of all the men on earth. He is the author of creation. He could have brought a great technological revolution with his wisdom and power. But he didn't. He did something else!!

He took the sins of all mankind, even the guilt of Lamech in Genesis and died on the cross. He rose again from the dead to give us victory over sin and death. He chose 12 people to share this message across the world and filled them with the Holy Spirit.

A spiritual revolution!!!

The technology has advanced a lot. Everything can be handled with the click of a button. But, this couldn't change the lives of people. The morality of human beings is worsening day by day. Technology has no answer for this. We think to bring new technology, mobiles, laptops etc..into our lives would bring a change. But no!

Jesus has an answer for this. He says:

I AM THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE.

And

WHOEVER BELIEVES IN ME SHALL HAVE ETERNAL LIFE.

If we repent of our sins and invite Jesus into our heart and our lives, we will be free of guilt, shame and have eternal peace. If we can make that decision, He will start a revolution in our lives.

Welcome to the Spiritual Revolution!!
